Position Overview:

The QA Validation Specialist with Automation will be responsible for developing comprehensive test plans, executing end-to-end testing, and ensuring the highest quality in software deliverables. This role emphasizes automating test cases, documenting test results, identifying defects, and verifying that all systems and software operate as intended. The successful candidate will pay particular attention to compliance with regulatory standards, including 21 CFR Part 11, FDA, HIPAA, GCP, EMA, ANVISA, GDPR, IRB compliance, and audit trails. Collaboration with cross-functional teams—such as development, product management, and operations—will be essential to drive testing efficiencies and foster continuous improvement in automation processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop comprehensive test plans based on business requirements and technical specifications, ensuring alignment with regulatory compliance requirements (e.g., FDA, EMA).
• Define and document test cases for functional, regression, performance, scalability, security, and integration testing.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to refine testing strategies, ensuring they meet compliance standards.
• Write, maintain, and update automated test scripts using tools like Cypress, Selenium, JUnit, or TestNG.
• Create reusable and scalable test cases covering business and functional requirements, with an emphasis on compliance with applicable regulations.
• Focus on both positive and negative testing scenarios.
• Conduct end-to-end testing of web and mobile applications, validating workflows and integrations while ensuring compliance with relevant regulatory requirements.
• Perform API testing and validate third-party integrations.
• Execute manual tests for complex scenarios.
• Build and maintain automation frameworks for web, mobile, and API testing.
• Continuously improve automation frameworks and integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines.
• Log and track defects using tools like JIRA, ensuring reproducibility and severity assignment.
• Collaborate with developers to resolve defects and conduct root cause analysis.
• Perform performance, load, and stress testing using JMeter or LoadRunner.
• Document test plans, results, and create test reports summarizing defects and outcomes.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, collaborating with product owners and developers to align testing activities.
• Conduct security testing to ensure compliance with standards such as GDPR, HIPAA, and other applicable regulations.

Qualifications:

   Experience:

• 5+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance, with a focus on automation testing.
• Proven experience in automating tests using frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, or similar.
• Experience with end-to-end testing of web, mobile, and API-based applications.
• Experience in working within Agile and DevOps environments.
• Prior experience in similar companies such as clinical trials, health tech, or enterprise software firms is highly desirable.

   Technical Skills:

• Strong understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and processes, including regulatory compliance.
• Proficiency in programming languages for automation (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript).
• Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, Bamboo, Azure DevOps).
• Knowledge of API testing tools (e.g., Postman, SoapUI).
• Experience with test management and bug tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail).

   Soft Skills:

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey testing results and defect analysis to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.

Certifications:

• ISTQB Certified Tester or equivalent QA certification is a plus.

Other Requirements:

• Familiarity with cloud-based environments (AWS, Azure) and testing in such environments is advantageous.
• Experience with performance testing and knowledge of security testing standards is preferred.
